Welcome: rant, rant, rant!

There is something to be said here. If you stare at this space for long enough, it might just say itself.

E-lephants on parade
I heard last week that the internet is now being blamed for a rise in elephant poaching and illegal trafficking in ivory. I can understand why. After all, every time you visit the African bush you see servers, ethernet cards and modems lurking around suspicisouly, with firepower that seems well in excess of what could be claimed for protection purposes. And, should a ranger happen to pass by, the modem can just nip into the nearest bush to hide. The worst news is, that even if the ranger service did arrest a number of modems, ethernet cards and servers, you can bet that somewhere there is a network hub that is directing all the traffic.
